Kionobori

The tradition in Japan on Children's Day is to hang Kionobori flags in the shape of a kite outside their houses, which are raised on May 5.

In Japan from April or early May they begin to put up their flags so that all their children grow up strong and healthy.

The Japanese associate this fish with children because of the strength they use to swim against the current.

In the process of this piece we had the integration of neighbors to paint with us. This is what we call appropriation of public space!
