Neve in questa opera raffigura il Quinto Cielo, quello di Marte, dove Dante incontra gli spiriti combattenti per la fede. Al centro dell’opera ci sono due figure: da un lato un guerriero, con il simbolo alchemico di Marte sul braccio e con al collo una collana che riprende la tradizione degli ornamenti indossati dai guerrieri greci e spartani per chiedere alle loro divinità protezione nella battaglia; dall’altro una figura femminile che ha sulla testa il simbolo del ferro e che rappresenta una musa che testimonia le gesta dei combattenti. Anche quest’opera fa parte del progetto “Le Cabine del Paradiso”.

Neve in this work depicts the Fifth Heaven, that of Mars, where Dante meets the spirits fighting for the faith. At the center of the work there are two figures: on one side a warrior, with the alchemical symbol of Mars on his arm and with a necklace around his neck that recalls the tradition of the ornaments worn by Greek and Spartan warriors to ask their deities for protection in battle ; on the other, a female figure who has the symbol of iron on her head and represents a muse who bears witness to the deeds of the fighters. This work is also part of the “Le Cabine del Paradiso” project.
