La Morena was one of four US Artists to have been selected to participate in FAMA Mural Project (French American Mural Art Project) in collaboration with a French Artist Mr Difuz and a special invite by US Embassy in France.
"It was an amazing opportunity and I enjoyed connecting with the neighborhood of Plan D’AOU where I painted. From playing soccer with the kids to receiving hot tea and sweet bread from the community it was all so very heart warming to me. I get emotional thinking about this specific neighborhood. The neighborhood is identified As some would say the “ghetto” to me it’s a Barrio it has heart and spirit. These are the best communities I prefer to paint in. I really wish you all could have experience these special moments with me. Because you could have seen and felt the power of art and how healing it could be for some. The neighborhood was happy we were there painting, the kids were so curious and the elders were so warm.": shares the artist

“This mural represents an Indigenous young girl which also is a reflection of our Mother Earth. She uses her divine energy given to her by our creator to heal the sea, to restore the coral, and the beautiful sea life that is becoming extinct. This mural is about climate Justice and a visual of what we mean by saying.
