This mural represents, in the form of an allegory, the impact of human activity on our world and its consequences. A mystical turtle, symbol of longevity, moves through an abstract space. On its shell, an ice cream cone has overturned, engulfing an environment rich in biodiversity. The turtle, a popular animal, embodies the balance of a world that is rich and enduring, constantly evolving. It crosses time. The drips of ice cream form a lettering where one can read 'CHANGE?'—which means 'change' in English. Ice cream, an object of pleasure and desire for consumption, overturned in a clumsy gesture, represents what is wasted. Our neo-liberal capitalist system endangers our planet for the sake of ever-increasing accumulated wealth. This intensive exploitation of natural resources leads to the destruction of biodiversity and humanity. This mural questions the ability of industrialized societies to regulate their activities in order to minimize global warming and its consequences on our planet."
