ENLACES Y ENGRANAJES

This mural flows temporarily through the mechanisms and gears used in the oil mills to press the olives and produce the oil.

The idea was latent years ago when Herminio and Marisa, my neighbors from Alcalá de Henares, gave me a greenish cupcake made with oil from their town, Castañar de Ibor. Oil is the fundamental engine of the region and this is reflected in the pride of its inhabitants when they talk about it. The folds of the paper that wraps the muffins have certain similarities with the mechanisms necessary to turn the hopper through which the olives fall to the millstones.

This is a mural based on the fortuitous unions and connections that sometimes take us where we have to go.
