Waterplay

 De kunstenaar kreeg ruime artistieke vrijheid. Het resultaat is een kunstwerk dat de illusie opwekt dat je in of door het waterbassin kan kijken. Een rode bal als speels element maakt het kunstwerk compleet. "Ik heb er bij het ontwerp naar gestreefd om het ritme van de raamopeningen in de gebouwen rond deze locatie suggestief te laten terugkomen, via een aantal 'trompe-l'oeil'-openingen in de betonnen wanden. De openingen zijn speels verdeeld over de vier zijden en tonen een wateroppervlak erachter", vertelt Artoon.

The artist was given ample artistic freedom. The result is a work of art that creates the illusion that you can look into or through the water basin. A red ball as a playful element completes the work of art. "In the design, I aimed to suggestively reflect the rhythm of the window openings in the buildings around this location, through a number of 'trompe-l'oeil' openings in the concrete walls. The openings are playfully distributed over the four sides and show a water surface behind," says Artoon.
