This painting of two friends in conversation, is inspired by the work of Surinamese artist Ro Heilbron. The aim is to emphasize everyday life. Communication is essential to progress and eventually become who we want to be.
This project of three murals, organized by Opperclaes, was initiated in the year of the remembrance of 150 years of colonial and slavery history. The goal of the project is to honor the legacy of Ro Heilbron, who passed away in 2014.
