"I am not a pacifist, I am against war. If war is not thrown out of the history of mankind, it will be the war that throws out mankind from history"; these words, quoted in the mural, are by Luigi Strada, known as Gino (Sesto San Giovanni, 21 April 1948 - Honfleur, 13 August 2021) who was an Italian physician, activist, philanthropist and writer, founder, together with his wife Teresa Sarti, of Emergency - Life Support for Civilian War Victims, an Italian NGO humanitarian association. This art work by Maria Zanon, an Art accademy student in Carrara, is quite wide and stands outside of the Circolo ARCI "Il Fortino" (Italian Democratic party association club).
