Toulouse-based street artist Vinie returned to Liévin to create a striking fresco on the walls of the Jean-Macé school group. Known for her signature graffiti style, which blends street art with a touch of femininity through her vibrant, colorful characters, Vinie collaborated with the local community for this project. A CM2 (5th grade) class from the school was involved in the creative process, engaging in discussions with the artist and even casting votes on the motif of the fresco. This involvement allowed the students to directly influence the mural's design, fostering a sense of ownership and pride in their school’s new artwork. Alongside the mural, Vinie also showcased her work in a local exhibition, further deepening her connection with the Liévin community.
The fresco not only reflects Vinie's artistic identity but also integrates the voices of young students, making it an enriching educational and creative experience for all involved.
