TRANSITIONS

"Transitions" is a representation of movement, a tribute to those who expand boundaries and concepts to create a more beautiful and diverse world. The faces depicted in the mural blend and fluctuate between genders, illustrating difference and equality at once. We painted this 25-meter-high wall in the city of Lecce, Italy, with the support of an inspiring women’s organization, Soroptimist Club Lecce, as well as the help of 167B Street Art. Together, we express our commitment to a future of equal opportunities for all.

The mural portrays two human figures intertwining their features, merging shapes and ideas across a prominent building facade, surrounded by urban greenery and a nearby bike path. This concept was envisioned and brought to life by the Argentine artists of Medianeras (Vanesa Galdeano and Anali Chanquía), who were warmly welcomed to Lecce’s neighborhood from September 19 to 26 to create this work, while immersed in the curiosity and hospitality of local residents.
