Live Your Dream

Beautiful work by the glass breaking artist Simon Berger in his hometown. Using a hammer he "breaks" portraits in glass.

The new glass sculpture in the high school in Herzogenbuchsee weighs about 500 kg. It was made by the artist Simon Berger. He went in and out there himself throughout his childhood and youth. That's why it was a very special commission for the artist.

"Live your dream" is the name of the sculpture. It is intended to show the students that they should believe in their dreams, like Simon Berger once did. “It was an honor for me to receive this commission,” says the artist.

Headmaster Res Aeschbacher says the most important thing is to never stop dreaming and pursuing your dreams. He is very happy about the sculpture by Simon Berger.

"It's beautiful and very big. What's particularly fascinating is that it always looks different because of the way the light hits it."

Even if school time isn't always a walk in the park for most children, it is a place where you can dream and pursue them. This is what the sculpture in the Herzogenbuchsee high school building is intended to embody.
