ALBEROVITAE (Tree-of-life) The energy from life

 

The seed of the future has past roots, it is a robust plant turned to the sun strength that feeds the fruit of life. Our time is gold.
 
 A mural designed by the street artist ‘PIN’, commisioned by the SP112 Neighbourhood Committee, in collaboration with #E-Distribuzione, with the aim of portraying the tree of life, seen as a symbol of synergy among those people willing to requalify an area of common interest between two towns.
 
 The artist has painted the four façades to let imagine the parts of the mural as one entity.
 Depicted by two plants that intertwine in the classical symbology, its ALBEROVITAE is made by two trees chosen as symbol of the area, painted in the moment of their intersection.
 
 An olive tree and a carob tree: with their natural molded-time shapes, similar to anatomical bodies of Michelangelo, they are two century-trees that become like statues of the Hellenistic and Roman ages.
 Through a multi-distance vision, the crowns of the two trees reveal the faces of a man and a woman approaching each other.
 
 In the center, between the two faces, there is a golden circular area, which symbolizes the sun, the ground and the fruit generated by the union of the two trees-of-life, meant as an #energy that nourishes life.
 The golden circle is represented in the exact point in which the sun rises every day, where the two towns are turned to. Two communities with century-old traditions, like the two trees.
