Arendschot

BISSER is een kunstenaar uit Leuven. Hij studeerde animatie in Gent en moest zijn eerste jaar aan de Hogeschool overdoen, vandaar zijn artiestennaam.

Dit kunstwerk verbeeldt de plaatselijke legende van de stad Aarschot. De naam van de stad Aarschot zou een verwijzing zijn naar het woord 'Arendschot', wat ruwweg vertaald 'Het schieten van de Adelaar' betekent. De plek waar de adelaar neerviel nadat hij was neergeschoten, was de plek waar de stad Aarschot ontstond.
Bisser schilderde deze dode adelaar begraven onder de grond.

BISSER is an artist from Leuven. He studied animation in Ghent and had to redo his first year at the Hogeschool, hence his artist name.

This artwork depicts the local legend of the town of Aarschot. The name of the city of Aarschot supposedly is a reference to the word "Arendschot", which roughly translates to "The shooting of the Eagle".  The place the Eagle fell down after being shot was where the city of Aarschot was created. 
Bisser painted this dead eagle buried under the ground.
