About the artist

As a child of deaf parents my visual talents have been stimulated from a young age. Using visual language as a means to communicate with and reaching people is stimulating to me. I've studied art at the art academy (bachelor and master), and have grown into the painter that I am. I love working with colors and contrasts, combining graphic lines and abstracted shapes with figurative, sometimes photorealistic elements. Size matters, whether it's large or small, although I prefer large because of its effectiveness in reaching more people. I love to dive into new projects, investigate all the relevant and related aspects. It's my goal to connect my ideas with the outside world. To make things visible such as stories and the identity of the place. To stimulate and motivate people, and make them proud and enthusiastic about the piece of world they live in.
