CANVAZ is an Irish street artist who first took to the streets of Dublin in the late 90s. Since then, his work has been seen internationally from Dublin, Liverpool, Bristol, Berlin, New York, Hong King and Tel Aviv. His style combines different street art techniques, including street interventions, figurative paintings, paste up, ad- jacking and stenciling. Deeply rooted in Irish culture and political history, CANVAZ’s work also touches upon more contemporary topics, such as the role of the individual in today’s social media-laden landscape. Throughout, a common thread remains: the willingness to take a stance while remaining hopeful. In 2024, Canvaz became the artist in residence to Team Ireland at the Paris Olympics and exhibited with the Royal Ulster Academy at the Ulster Museum.
